Time By Design has created this privacy statement in order to
demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our
information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: Time by Design.We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server,
and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is used to help identify you and your shopping cart. Our site uses cookies to keep track of your shopping cart. This site may contain links to other sites. Time by Design is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. Our
site uses an order form for customers to request information, products,
and services. We collect visitor's contact information (like their
email address), financial information (like their account or credit
card numbers), and demographic information (like their zip code,or
age). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders
and information about our company to our customers. The customer's
contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when

What is the Warrantee?
Our watches are
"Dress" watches. Water and excessive heat can destroy the electronics
and cases and crystals cannot be repaired or replaced. For a long life,
do not submerge them in water or store them on hot window sills, hot
radiators, or in the sun. To keep the cases looking good, do not wear
them for sports activity or heavy manual labor.
Time by Design
warrants this watch to the original owner to be free of defects in
manufacture and material parts for a period of one year from the date
of purchase.This
warrantee does not cover a defect that has resulted from improper use
or maintenance, accident, improper packing or tampering, alteration or
modification as determined only by us. Neither does it include damage
from water, dirt, excessive dust or heat. Damage to the case, strap and
crystal is not covered under the terms of this warrantee. The
obligation of Time by Design under this warrantee is limited only to
the repair or replacement of this watch. In
the event a watch is defective under the above-mentioned terms, please
return it postage prepaid to the appropriate PO box listed above:
Along with the defective watch, please supply proof of
purchase, and include a check or money order for $15. If the returned
watch requires only a battery change and it is greater than six months
since the sale date, than the check will be cashed. If the watch is
less than six months from the sales date, the check will be returned
with the watch. The servicing of watches under warranty requires a $15
payment (unless defect occurs within weeks of ownership and we
determine that a problem is due to manufacturing issues). If defects in
a watch are determined to be caused by manufacturing issues a repaired
or replaced watch will be returned to the owner.
What is your return policy?
For Downloadable CyberClocks:
We do not give refunds after 48 hrs., unless we have been notified in
writing by the purchaser that they or their recipient cannot install it
and wish no help in trying to install it.
For Watches:
You have ten days to examine a watch and return it if you decide you do
not want it. Please do not bend or wrinkle the band or we must charge
you for a replacement band. Upon receipt of the watch, if there is
damage, contact us immediately by e-mail or by phone to customer
service. If damage is incurred to the case or crystal once the watch is
in your possession, the watch cannot be returned for a refund. For your
protection, we strongly suggest that you ship all returns via US Postal
Service Priority Mail with tracking confirmation. Kindly include a note
explaining the reason for the return. Please note that you are
responsible for the safe return of merchandise and all shipping cost.
Please return items within ten (10) days to receive a prompt exchange
or refund. If you are giving the item as a gift, we will extend the
return period to 10 days from the date you plan to give the gift
(please indicate this by typing "gift date ____" in the comments field
of the order form)as long as that date is within 30 days of ordering. A
$10 restocking fee will be charged if there is evidence of wear to the
watch band. Ship returns to: Time by Design at the appropriate PO box
as detailed above under our address. We will then credit your credit
card. You must pay for postage on the watch you are returning. Items
must be returned PREPAID, IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. We cannot accept
returns sent c.o.d., and original shipping charges are not refundable.
If you paid by check or money order, we will issue a refund check. For
credit card orders, a credit will appear on your statement within two
(2) months. If you have any questions or concerns about your watch
please e-mail us at any time or send a letter to the Customer Service
Dept. at the PO box detailed at the top of the page.
What are the shipping costs?
We ship orders
Mon.through Friday (excluding holidays) and generally process them
within 48 hours from the time the order is placed. When ordering via
phone on a Friday be mindful that your order will not be processed for
shipment until Monday. If you order your shipment for Express delivery
on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday before 5PM, the order will be sent
"Express" Monday and if Monday is a holiday, it will be shipped on
Tuesday. If you order after 5PM Sunday, the order will be processed
Monday and shipped Tuesday. Shipping is as follows:
Inside US:
$7 for 2-4 day delivery via US Priority Mail which requires signature
confirmation or "Inside Continental US - 2nd Day Air" ( shipped express
overnight the day after you order)at a cost of $16 which also requires
signature confirmation. We do not do same day express delivery.
Outside
Continental US: $25-35 for most countries via Global US Express.
Delivery should take 10-12 days. Shipping charge to Canada is $16 ( 2
day express ) and requires signature confirmation. Actual shipping
charges will be added by Time By Design based on delivery location.
Customer responsible for any duty, customs fees, etc.
If an
incorrect shipping method is specified, multiple watches are ordered or
shipping cost increases, Time By Design will add the actual shipping
cost to your order. For a firm shipping quote or special shipping
needs, please e-mail or call us.
What are the watch specifications?

customized to fit the contours of the case is 7 and 1/2 in. long (total
watch length is 9 and 1/4 inches) and is easily replaced with our bands
or another manufacturer's band though it is difficult to find tapered
bands.

How do you set the watch?
1. Press set button in and hold down. Minutes and hours will fast forward.
2. To set hour time, release set button at desired hour.
3. To set precise minute time, push and release set button to "step" minutes ahead until you have reached the exact minute.
Are your watches sold in stores?
No, at this point, we are almost exclusively a direct
marketing company in the US.
How do you change the battery?To
change the battery, remove the four screws which hold down the
backplate. Then remove the gasket and slide out the old battery from
the clip and insert the new one. The watch will automatically
recalibrate and proceed to count from 12:00. Re-set the watch with the
single set button to the correct time. The steel watches (with a light)
have a snap in backplate and we recommend that a watchmaker change the
batteries.
What parts are replaceable?The
only parts that are replaceable are the battery and strap. Replacement
straps cost $20. Please include an additional $7 for postage and
handling. Replacement batteries type CR2016 are readily available and
can be easily changed though we recommend a watchmaker change batteries
on our lighted steel models with snap in backplates.
What is the battery life?
The CR2016 battery
will last approximately 2 years. If you are using the light up model
the battery life will depend on your usage of the light.
How waterproof are these watches?
This is a "dress" line of watches and they are water resistent to 3 ATM. They are not intended for "rough" wear or submersion. .
